SALT LAKE CITY — One person is dead and four are injured following a rollover crash in Box Elder County on Friday night, authorities said.
At 10:39 p.m. on Friday, Box Elder County sheriff’s deputies, Utah Highway Patrol, and emergency medical services responded to the scene of a single-vehicle rollover crash on East Promontory Road, Box Elder Chief Deputy Cade Palmer said.
The car carried five people, all between the ages of 15 and 19. Additional information on the identities of the occupants is not yet available.
One occupant died at the scene, one was transported to a hospital via ground ambulance. The three other occupants were transported to a hospital via air ambulance.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined and is the source of an ongoing investigation, Palmer said. Additional information is not yet available.
