Earlier this week, it was reported that the Dallas Cowboys will host a “major business announcement press conference” on Wednesday. Moments ago, we found out what that major announcement is all about.
The Cowboys have become the first NFL team to partner with a cryptocurrency company by joining forces with Blockchain.com.
It was announced back in March that the NFL will allow teams to seek limited blockchain sponsorships, so it’s not a surprise to see the Cowboys take advantage of that.
However, bans on cryptocurrency promotions and fan tokens remain in place for now.

For the most part, Cowboys fans aren’t exactly thrilled with this announcement.
“Not surprised that the teams ‘big announcement’ was something like this,” one fan said.
Another fan sarcastically replied: “Just the free-agent pickup we were looking for.”
While this announcement won’t change the Cowboys’ outlook on the football field, it’s no secret that Jerry Jones is always wheeling and dealing.
