SALT LAKE CITY — A Salt Lake City family has been displaced after a fire broke out inside their home.
The incident happened in the area of 2200 South and Lake Street around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Officials with the Salt Lake City Fire Department said crews were able to get the flames under control within 30 minutes.
Fortunately, the family evacuated on their own, and firefighters were able to rescue two dogs and a bird.
Fire officials said there was some ceiling collapse, adding that the fire got into the attic.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
No injuries were reported.
